Global Competencies Engineering Class Set to work on Bassin Bleu Project!
Following a very successful partnership with Rowan University's Civil Engineering seniors clinic during the 2017-2018 academic year, civil engineering students taking the Global Competencies course during the spring 2019 semester will be working with data collected by DCC founding chair, Gardy Guiteau, to continue planning work on the Bassin Bleu irrigation project.
Bassin Bleu Project Moves Ahead!
At the end of December 2018, Mr. Guiteau will travel to Jacmel, Haiti to collect additional data for the second of three feeder pathways to be incorporated in the irrigation system.
This continuation of work on the Bassin Bleu project, which originated with the idea of building a secondary school in the mountain top community but shifted to an irrigation project, is especially exciting as it brings us ever closer to having a viable project to be presented to an Engineers Without Boarders chapter for adaptation.
