DCC Founding Chair Meets with ODBJ President to Discuss Bassin Bleu

In an effort to continue the forward momentum gained by engineering students and faculty engaging the irrigation project at Bassin Bleu, Jacmel, Mr. Guiteau met with Mr. Guerrier in Jacmel to provide updates on the project.
During a very productive meeting that took place on May 29, 2018 at the Hotel Florita in Jacmel Haiti, Mr. Gardy Guiteau, Founding Chair of the Dyaspora Coordinating Committee, met with Mr. Sadrac Guerrier of ODBJ to discuss the progress that was made over the course of the prior year by students in a senior engineering clinic at Rowan University on the irrigation project at Basin Bleu.

Mr. Guerrier, who was accompanied with his colleague, Mr. Fanel Leme, expressed contentment in seeing the poster that members of the Rowan engineering clinic presented to members of the University community in April 2018.
The meeting between Mr. Guiteau and Mr. Guerrier proved to be very productive as it offered the gentlemen the opportunity to discuss in person the progress that has been made in terms of research and engineering of one of three pathways for the irrigation system at Bassin Bleu. Specifically, Mr. Guerrier was able to provide much needed clarification regarding the opperations of ODBJ. Similarly, Mr. Guiteau was able to gain guidance from Leme, a colleague of Mr. Guerrier's on how to be move forward with this and other project as an NGO in Haiti.
